Dear Patients,
As you are likely aware, Coronavirus has spread beyond China and the Department of Health Guidelines are being regularly updated. To prevent spread of potential cases with vulnerable patients and the wider community, we may ask you to self-isolate at home if you meet the criteria below. Our staff, nurses, and doctors will be available by phone to assist you with any questions. If you meet the criteria, please call the practice before booking or attending an appointment.
Please advise reception if you have the following symptoms:
• Fever, or history of fever AND shortness of breath, or cough, or sore throat
OR
• Severe acute respiratory infection without fever requiring hospitalisation
And any of the following factors:
• Travel anywhere overseas in the last 28 days, in particular:
• A history of being in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Iran, or Italy in the 14 days prior to symptom onset
OR
Contact within 14 days of symptom onset with any of the following:
• A confirmed or suspected case of Coronavirus
• A healthcare facility in China
• A person who has travelled overseas in the last 28 days
Thank you for your understanding. The practice will endeavour to assist unwell patients wherever possible.
